The Policy Group of Canberra EV reports on policy issues at Canberra EV meetings.

Separately, the Policy Group meets from time to time, typically at King O'Malley's pub and restaurant on a Sunday from 1:00pm, to do some brainstorming over a drink. Everybody is welcome to join in with such meetings. If you like, you can have a meal at King O'Malley's too (see directions below).

• Submission on Electricity Feed-in Tariff Stage 2 Public Consultation
• Submission on draft Sustainable Energy Policy 2010–2020

Private member campaigns and initiatives:

• Wind turbines for the ACT
  
• Legalise Segways downunder petition

Further activities:

• Seek support of the ACT Commissioner for the Environment and Sustainability to raise 200 watts limit for bikes, etc.
• Highlight EV policy issues, such as at the 2009 EV Festival, in the media and at conferences
• Approach Australian Academy of Science with proposal for public lecture series
• Liaison with EV Council
• Explore opportunities to liaise with further organisations, such as the Motor Trades Association of ACT
• Invite ACTION to discuss electric buses
• Invite further speakers for presentations and discussions at the Canberra EV meetings
