Update 2 - the motor

The EnerTrac MHM-602 arrived yesterday. And it's an impressive piece of kit!
Unfortunately for me I was unable to take it home that day - it's 28KG and about 50cm x 50cm, and the small luggage rack on the back of my bike was not up to carrying it home. This also meant I couldn't take it to the monthly meeting, which was a shame as I'd really wanted to show it off. Ah well, next meeting. The actual motor is just under 30 centimetres across, about 15cm thick with the disk brake, and contains all the weight. This is a seriously well-built motor, sturdy and solid, and gives me every confidence in its ability to hurl me along the road at 100KM/hr. The leads are solid and well made, and the sensor connector comes with a waterproof, snap-in connector. It also comes with a bracket, brake assembly and torque arm. The whole box is well filled with padding, and although one bit had worn through and the hub was showing there were no scratches on it.
So far so good. Now to work out how to run the thing!

P.S. I'll try to put up some photos soon.
